January 9, 2009 marked a major turning point for the prayer
movement in Fredericksburg with the launch of the interdenominational
Fredericksburg Prayer Furnace and Mission Base.
Seven local leaders of prayer related ministries, drawn together
by a mutual recognition of a common vision and shared core values, felt led of the Lord to begin cooperating on a deeper level by surrendering their, individual ministries to realize a higher purpose together.
As the group continued in prayer together it became increasingly
evident that each respective ministry was intended by God to work
synergistically with the other ministries to fulfil a greater calling.
The fulfilment of this alliance required a radical change in lifestyle.
Each ministry leader was expected to raise their own support,
commit to a significant amount of time in the prayer room and
embrace the concept of a lifestyle of prayer.

can become involved, we encourage you to check out the links
